Yellow & Gray Quilt – part 7. THE END

To all of you who have been waiting patiently for the end of this project, I bet you thought I forgot all about you. Nope. In reality, I finished this thing over a month ago, and I’ve been waiting for M— to get her stuff out of the guest room so I could take a picture.

Cozy right?

Cozy right?

Here’s the short story – daughter M— is moving to Denver with her boyfriend. She came home just before Thanksgiving and had planned to leave by the middle of January. Boyfriend was to meet her here just after Christmas. Life intervened, as it frequently does, to prevent him from coming until closer to the end of January and to keep them both here until almost the middle of March.

In the meantime, all the objets that she has been sorting through and deciding what to take, donate, throw out, or leave at our house, have been living in the guest room. She’s got it down to practically nothing, so I took it upon myself to toss everything into the hallway in order to make up the bed and take pictures.

See what a difference a flash makes?

And because I spent so much time on the darn curtains, I took another picture with them closed. The plan is to get the room emptied out and painted sometime in the next 3 months. That includes new closet doors and a closet system, which I’ve already picked out. I just haven’t bought it yet. That should be next I think.

Oh and I need a name for the new quilt. Put your suggestions in the comments section.

With closed curtains.

With closed curtains.
